UPDATE: Cathedral Place - Coronavirus COVID-19

These times are unprecedented as the world faces and braces for the challenges of Coronavirus, or COVID-19.

Our office has conducted an operational review of the complex and the results are as follows:

As you would expect, we have been closely monitoring the situation and can confirm that;

  • All advices and directions that have been issued from officials to date, have been considered and/or actioned as appropriate.

  • Additionally, we have ramped up our daily cleaning regime in the common areas with a goal specifically; to do everything we can to reduce or eliminate the risk factors and keep everyone save during this period.

  • To our knowledge there have been no confirmed cases within the complex, and we have not been made aware of anyone who may be self-isolating as per the government requirements.

Should anyone find themselves in one of these situations, we ask that you heed the advice and instructions from Queensland Health and Government bodies, making all the necessary notifications in the interest of public health (our office contact details are below and we are available 24/7). 

For everyone else, we are sure that you have probably heard, or had many people tell you of the importance of good and frequent hand hygiene, to prevent transmission of the virus.

As you will be aware, there are many different members that make up our community here at Cathedral Place, including Short Stay accommodation guests from several different hosts.  With this in mind, Cathedral Place could potentially be at a higher risk of an outbreak with guests staying at the complex having travelled from interstate and / or overseas.

Some visual reminders about infection control have/will be posted around the complex to remind both us and any transient visitors to Cathedral Place such as short stay guests, tradespersons and of course any other visitors.

Finally, we have had a few different enquiries from residents asking about special services or changes during this time.  In line with the government guidelines it is simply business as usual, with a heightened awareness relating to infection prevention and social distancing precautions.

The Australian Government National Health Plan has created a Primary Care, Central Patient COVID-19 Triage Hotline – 1800 020 080, they advise "Call this line if you are seeking information on coronavirus (COVID-19). The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week."
